Ora James

Ora Sarah James, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 9, 1922, in Imboden, Ark., daughter of John and Sarah Farris Selsor. He and Hollis V. James were married in 1941 in Piggott, Ark. He died in 1990.

James moved to Cape Girardeau in 1949 from Caruthersville, Mo. She worked at Missouri Dry Dock 13 years, and at Cape Wiggery 10 years. She was a member of Calvary Temple

Survivors include a daughter, Reba Abbott of Scott City, Mo.; a sister, Doris Segraves of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Selsor of Newport, Ark., Tom Selsor of Cape Girar-deau; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a son and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Cathcart officiating. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery at Car-uthersville.
