HODGES PARK, Ill. -- Ora Hardamon, 96, of Hodges Park, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 13, 1905, in Holly Grove, Ark., daughter of David and Delia Bryant Banks.
She was married to Jessie Hardamon. He preceded her in death.
She lived in Missouri from 1924 until moving to Illinois in 1927. She was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hodges Park.
Survivors include four sons, Curtis Hardamon of Hodges Park, Lonzo Hardamon of Springfield, Ill., Homer Hardamon of Hampton, Va., and Carletas Hardamon of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hodges Park.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Tyrone Coleman officiating.
Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
