Ora Bell Withers, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, March 16, 1992, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1907, at Allenville, daughter of J.W. and Mary Ellen Noble Fenimore. She married Harry Edward Withers in 1924, who died July 24, 1977.

Withers had worked at International Shoe Co. 29 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First General Baptist Church and its Senior Sunday School Class, Ladies Missionary Society and Ladies Aid. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and had held various offices. Withers was an avid quilter.

Survivors include a son, W.R. Withers; a daughter, Audrey Gunter, both of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Revs. Audie Long and S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today. The Rebekah Lodge will have a service at 6.
