FLORISSANT, Mo. -- Opal M. Michuda, 86, of Florissant died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at home.
She was born July 8, 1918, in Marble Hill, Mo., daughter of William Lee and Dora Elizabeth Lincoln Masters. She and Lawrence J. Michuda Sr. were married in February 1938; he died Dec. 5, 1992.
Michuda was employed with the Sylvia Co. in St. Louis for 24 years as a milliner, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Florissant for many years.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Michuda Jr. of St. Louis; three daughters, Ann Marie Kotek of Summerfield, Fla., Mary Lou Tarbox of St. Charles, Mo., Susan Shanks of Kane, Ill; a sister, Lillian James of Perryville, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchens Funeral Home in Florissant.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Florissant, with the Rev. Vincent Nyman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in St. Louis.
Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
