COBDEN, Ill. -- Opal Joyce Nance, 55, of Route 2, Cobden, died Friday, June 9, 1995, at her home.
She was born May 3, 1940, at Makanda, Ill., daughter of Leland and Lelia Marie Chicon Ellis.
She married Kenneth Nance July 14, 1954, in Murphysboro, Ill. He survives.
She was a member of the Makanda Baptist Church and was a former housekeeper at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.
She is survived by two sons, Kenny S. Nance and Dennis L. Nance, both of Cobden; a daughter, Elaine Ross of Makanda; two sisters, Shirley Paschon of Anna and Myrna Moore of Carbondale; and seven grandchildren.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Makanda Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cliff Waller officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Makanda.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today, and at the Makanda Baptist Church after 10 a.m. Monday.
