CHAFFEE -- Opal Marie Holder, 90, of Chaffee died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 2, 1908, at Sikeston, daughter of William Gaines and Mary Demetrius Black Freeman. She first married Clarence "Dutch" Barron, who preceded her in death. She later married Carrol Holder Sept. 1, 1951. He died Oct. 12, 1974.
Holder retired from the accounts receivable department at Schwander Warehouse in St. Louis. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Melvin Gainer officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
