MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Opal A. Fulbright, 83, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at her daughter's home.
She was born March 17, 1929, at Hurricane, Mo., daughter of Jonas and Nancy Elizabeth Garland Long. She and the Rev. Truman Fulbright were united in marriage in November 1945. He passed away May 21, 1949. To this union were born Bonnie Ruth, who preceded her in death, J. Faye (Jerry) Garland; grandchildren, Mike Garland and Jeff (Candi) Garland and their children, Bryant and Isaac.
She then married Jessie Lee Fulbright on March 29, 1952. He passed away July 5, 2008. To this union were born Tammy (Scott) Hanners and their children Mary (Eric) Bollinger, Laura and Bonnie Hanners.
She was a retired sewer from International Hat Co. of Marble Hill. She was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a brother, Junior W. Long of Grassy, Mo., and a sister, Martha Compass of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by brothers Francis and Elzie Long, and sister Juanita Long.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill., and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Hurricane Fork Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Sander and the Rev. Jeff Garland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
