Omer Stephen Pincksten, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born June 5, 1932, in Pocahontas to Steve and Emma Pincksten. He and Anneliese Schroder were married Feb. 5, 1955, in Frohna, Missouri. She preceded him in death March 14, 2015.
Omer had a 25-year career in the military, serving in the U.S. Air Force and the Army. He served in Vietnam. Omer was also a Mason with Harold Grauel Masonic Lodge.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Hannelore L. (Benjamin) Quick of Citrus Heights, California; grandchild, Stephen Quick of Pueblo, Colorado; great-grandchild, Weston Quick; niece, Penny Hale of Cape Girardeau; and nephews, Kenny Pincksten and Mike Pincksten, both of Cape Girardeau.
Omer was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 16, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at noon Thursday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
