OLIVIA HELEN HARTEL

PERRYVILLE -- Olivia Helen Hartel, 86, of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1994, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 30, 1907, at Mascoutah, Ill., daughter of Benjamin and Mamie Gutjahr Pohlig.

She married Edward Anton Hartel, Feb. 27, 1926. He died April 15, 1965.

Hartel was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Ladies of Charity, the Perry County Historical Society and the Missouri Historical Society.

Survivors include a son, Edward Allen Hartel of Perryville; and a sister, Marie Pohlig of St. Albans, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, at the Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Edward Wilson, C.M., officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
