JACKSON -- Oliver Rambo, 74, of Jackson, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 11, 1919, at Lutesville, son of Monroe and Melvina Isabell Ramsey Rambo. He and Ople Marie Stephens Storz were married Nov. 9, 1968.
Rambo was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Lutesville General Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; six stepsons, Lester Storz of Bourbon, Otis Storz of Jackson, Charles Storz of Maplewood, Alfred Storz of Houston, Texas, Edwin Storz of Huntsville, Texas, Jerry Storz of Rockhill; three stepdaughters, Violet Bradow of Chicago, Oma Rhodes of Jackson, Linda May of Affton; three brothers, Tom Rambo of Glen Allen, Charlie Rambo of Bakersfield, Calif., John Rambo of Momence, Ill.; two sisters, Ada Clubb and Annie Stone of Marble Hill; 34 stepgrandchildren; 21 great-stepgrandchildren, and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Charley Hovis will officiate, with burial in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
