PARMA -- Oliver McClung, 81, of Parma died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Sikeston Health Care Center in Sikeston.
He was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Keiser, Ark., son of Henry and Leona Matthews McClung. He and Sylvia Nolan were married Jan. 12, 1946, at New Madrid. She died Aug. 4, 1999.
McClung retired as a truck driver with Fabick Brothers Equipment Co. He lived in Parma 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Larry McClung of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Christine Armstrong of Sikeston, Betty Stanley of Malden; two brothers, Shorty McClung of Arkansas, Bill McClung of Hayti; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parma Cemetery.
