Olinda Weinkein

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Olinda V. Weinkein, 94, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 24, 1911, at Perryville, daughter of Raymond and Julia Thieret Brown. She and Herbert J. Weinkein were married June 29, 1926, at Perryville. He died Nov. 10, 1995.

Weinkein was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, Mo.

Survivors include six daughters, Doris Hoernig of St. Louis, Ruth Ann Weinkein, Norma Jean Weinkein, June R. Stortz, Susan M. Layton, all of Perryville, Virginia Hucke of Wichita, Kan.; a son, James Weinkein of Clarksville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half sister and two half brothers.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake service will be at 7:15 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Brockland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
