Olga Mungle, 86, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Mungle was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Oak Ridge, daughter of Arthur and Anna Ludwig Loos. She and Gilbert Mungle were married Sept. 17, 1938. He died Jan. 11, 1990.
She was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson from 1945 until retiring in 1979. She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Fruitland, and has been a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson since 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Smith and husband Jim of Jackson; a grandson, Kyle Brotherton and wife Linda of Jackson; a granddaughter, Krystal Kinder and husband Tim of Burfordville, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Jena Brotherton, Tyler and Gage Kinder; a stepgrandson, Christopher Smith; and a great-stepgrandson, Jason Floyd.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Mungle; a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Emanuel United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
