ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Olga E. Kuntze, 87, of Altenburg died July 19, 2015, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, Missouri.
She was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Farrar, Missouri, daughter of Edwin J. and Lydia (Hadler) Lohmann. She and Ellis Benjamin Kuntze were married April 11, 1948. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2006.
Olga had been a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Tina) Kuntze of Altenburg; three daughters, Helen Kuntze of Altenburg, Beverly (Mark) Parsons of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Ruth (Russ) Miesner of Altenburg; a half-sister, Jane (Herm) Hummert of Imperial, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Kim (Neal) Dost, Scott (Leslie) Fritsche, Amy Vanlandingham and Steve, Benjamin (Karrie) Parsons, Jon (fiancee Jenelle) Miesner, Krista (Scott) Thompson, Tracy Kuntze and Lance Kuntze; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Hildegard Lohmann; husband; one daughter, Patricia Fritsche; six brothers, Harold, Edgar, Vernon, Willis, Emil and Leonard Lohmann; one sister, Irene Huttegger; one half-sister, Rebecca Bohnert; and one half-brother, Clifford Lohmann.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Mike Gallagher officiating. Burial in church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church Altenburg Beautification Fund or Southeast Hospice.
