OLGA DIXON

CAIRO, Ill. -- Olga Inez Dixon, 76, of Cairo died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 7, 1924, in Corinth, Miss., daughter of Forrest Mayo and Grace Knight Marlar. She married Gaines "Rod" Dixon Sr., who died Aug. 15, 2000.

Dixon was a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Comer of Tishomingo, Miss.; a son, Gaines "Sonny" Dixon Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Opal Pickens of Corinth; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
