ANNISTON, Mo. -- Graveside rites for Olen Robert Brown of Anniston will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Maynard Cemetery near Diehlstadt, Mo. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by Missouri Military Funeral Honors.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

Brown, 76, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Boxley, Ark., son of Glen B. and Laura Owen Brown.

Brown was a retired truck driver.

He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force in Germany and during the Korean War.

Survivors include two sons, Sam Brown of Charleston, Steve Brown of Greenup, Ill.; four daughters, Debbie Sharp of Sikeston, Donna Husketh of Greenup, Karen Myers of East Prairie, Mo., Shannon Cossey of Charleston; two brothers, Gene Brown of Kewanee, Mo., Claude Brown of Guinn, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a twin brother, another brother, and a sister.
