Memorial service for Olaf H. Popp of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Douglas Breite will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m.
Popp, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.
He was born Oct. 9, 1915, at Frohna, Mo., son of Paul and Emma Mueller Popp. He and Marie Degiovann were married Feb. 11, 1967. She died Jan. 24, 2000.
Popp worked at Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a former member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Louis. He moved to Cape Girardeau in January, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Popp of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Gerald Popp of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Viola Metz of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, a sister and four brothers.
