Ola Mae Diebold

Ola Mae Diebold, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1932, in Brinkley, Ark., the daughter of Tom and Grace Corley Carter.

She and Morrell C. Diebold were married on Jan. 19, 1963, at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in St. Louis.

She had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1980.

Mrs. Diebold had been a hairdresser for Stix, Baer & Fuller in St. Louis. She operated the beauty shop in Chateau Girardeau and later owned and operated Le Beau Chateau in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and had also been a member of the Executive Club in Cape Girardeau and was past president of the Hi-Noon Club of Toastmasters International.

Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Steve (Kim) Diebold of Savannah, Ga., David (Susan) Diebold of Oran, Mo., and Brad (Judy) Diebold of Fruitland; four daughters, Mary Beth (Steve) Bell and Lisa (Kevin) Seabaugh, both of Cape Girardeau, Brenda (Steve) Gotter of Fenton, Mo., and Amy Jo (Rob) LaRubbio of Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Bill Carter of Hot Springs, Ark., and Ray and Charles Carter of Brinkley, Ark.; two sisters, Lorraine Sartin and Gladys Burrow, both of Brinkley; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Funeral service will be held at First Church of the Nazarene on Monday at 10 a.m.

The Rev. William Burke will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministry for Hurricane Katrina Relief.
