Ola Bartels

Ola Grace Bartels, 98, of Whitewater died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at her home. She was born March 1, 1908, at Crump, daughter of Lonzo and Belle Arnold Crump. She and Alvin D. Bartels were married Jan. 15, 1927, at Crump. He died Nov. 3, 1981. Ola Grace Bartels, 98, of Whitewater died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at her home.

She was born March 1, 1908, at Crump, daughter of Lonzo and Belle Arnold Crump. She and Alvin D. Bartels were married Jan. 15, 1927, at Crump. He died Nov. 3, 1981.

Bartels was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church, charter member of Women's Society and taught Sunday school many years.

Survivors include a son, Glen David Bartels of Whitewater; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-stepgrandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home today from 4 to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas McClellan officiating. Burial will be in Crump Cemetery.
