SIKESTON -- Odis Alexander Davidson, 91, of Sikeston, died Thursday, June 27, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 16, 1904, in Gentown, Miss., son of Johnny Samuel and Berdie Idella Peterson Davidson. He and Lizzie Evelyn Stines were married in July 1924. She died April 24, 1979. He and Georgia Hays Henderson were married Aug. 23, 1980, in Sikeston.
Davidson was a retired farmer, and had been a gas station attendant at the VIP Station. He attended Calvary Temple Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Odis Davidson of Mt. Morris, Mich., Clyde Davidson of Sikeston, William Davidson of Hollister, Calif.; two daughters, Zula McWhirter of Kewanee, Mary McCoy of North Branch, Mich.; a stepson, Allen Henderson of Greenville, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Judy Rodgers of Sikeston; a brother, Grover Davidson of Somerville, Tenn.; two sisters, Alma Rattan and Eva Davidson of Wahneta, Fla.; 27 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, two grandsons, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. Dan Stoffel and Curtis True officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
