DEXTER, Mo. -- Novella Lois Hinton, 86, of Great Bend, Kan., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Ardeola, Mo., daughter of Edwin and Stella Hopkins Stewart. She and Elvis D. Hinton were married July 15, 1934, in Bernie, Mo. He died March 25, 1999.
Hinton had lived in Great Bend since 1995, where she was a member of First Christian Church and its Women's Fellowship and Joy Group.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Johnson of Great Bend; a brother, Howard Clary of Cape Girardeau; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
