THEBES, Ill. -- Funeral for Nota Sutton of Thebes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Carl D. Fisher will officiate, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday until service time.
Sutton, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Alexander County, daughter of Levi and Verbia Kelly Wooley. She married Virgil Sutton.
Sutton was a member of First Baptist Church and Thebes Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Jim and John Sutton of Thebes, Virgil Sutton of Baton Rouge, La., Randy Sutton of Princeton; a daughter, Kathy Darby of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ella McClarney of Olive Branch, Mary Wheeler of Doniphan; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
