DELTA -- Norvell W. Hosea, 79, of Delta died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1918, at Whitewater, son of Ethel and Dell Ervin Hosea. He and Mary Maud Bohnstedt were married Jan. 10, 1958. She died Feb. 25, 1995.
Hosea had been employed by Texas Eastern Pipeline. He was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church and its Men's Club, American Legion Post 63 and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, Masonic Lodge 417 and Eastern Star in Whitewater.
He served with the U.S. Army in the European and Asian Theaters during World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Geraldine Johanningmeier of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 4-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. James Brice and Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
