PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Norvell J. "Bud" Becker, 93, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
He was born July 5, 1919, in St. Louis, son of Louis F. and Emma Octrerbeck Becker. He and Mary V. Short were married in September 1941. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1979.
Becker worked for Saberliner Corp. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lukefahr of Perryville; two sons, Gary (Christine) Becker of Jackson and Patrick Becker (Connie Lalumondiere) of Perryville; a sister, Delores Heckel of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son-in-law, Simon "Joe" Lukefahr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. An American Legion wake will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, followed by Catholic wake at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military graveside service provided by Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
