Norris Ray Grissom, 63, of Benton, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky.
He was the son of Lois and Gollie Grissom. He married the former Patsy Phelps.
Grissom was a former sheriff of Mississippi County, Mo. He was with Missouri State Highway Patrol 15 years, was an insurance salesman and a radio vendor.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Shane Grissom of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Rayla Grissom of Bertrand, Mo., Malissa Fitzgerald of Wyatt, Mo., Kimberly Steele of Fairdealing, Mo.; his mother of Gideon, Mo.; three stepsons, Jimmy Ferguson of Dawson Springs, Ky., George Woodbrey of Benton, Ky., Jon Lambert of Calvert City, Ky.; three stepdaughters, Jeanette Joseph, Starla Woodbrey and Peggy Duncan, all of Benton, Ky.; three brothers, Bobby and Jerry Grissom of Gideon, Larry Grissom of Steele, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 11 stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, four brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Ky., with Lexie Ray officiating.
