NORMAN SMITH

PERRYVILLE -- Norman J. Smith, 69, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 22, 1929, in St. Louis, son of Harry and Rose Sirsch Smith. He and Joyce Bateman were married July 3, 1987, in Paragould, Ark.

Smith was a salesman with Vulcan Shoe Designers. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steven Smith of Pevely, Robert and Paul Smith of St. Louis; three daughters, Debbie Davis of Pevely, Gerri Slogar of Byrnes Mill, Cheryl Wishon of High Ridge; a brother, Roger Smith of Union; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Lause officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
