Norman Ruesler, 77, of Torrence, Calif., died Friday, May 1, 1998, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1920, at Friedheim, son of Arthur and Anna Dickman Ruesler.
He and Phyllis Davidson were married Nov. 7, 1943. She survives.
He served in the military for 26 years. He worked for the City of Torrance for 17 years.
He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Torrence.
Survivors include a son, Norman "Butch" Ruesler of Torrence; and a daughter, Judy Angel of San Diego, Calif., two brothers Wilbert Ruesler and Harold Ruesler, both of Jackson; two sisters, Verna Best of Gordonville and Virgie Schubert of Perryville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 9, in Torrence.
