PULASKI -- Norman Lee "Rex" Baker, 87, of Grand Chain, Ill., formerly of Pulaski, died Sunday, June 14, 1992 in Metropolis.
He was born in Cobden, Ill. March 26, 1905, son of William Washington Baker and Mary McGowen Baker.
He was a member of the Karnak Baptist Church, and a deacon at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski.
He was a former village trustee in Pulaski and a member of the senior citizens center in Ullin.
Survivors are a wife, Blanche Curry Baker of Grand Chain, one daughter, Norma Jean McClellan of Grand Chain; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one nephew.
Friends may call between 5-8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Day officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
