CHARLESTON -- Norman E. Moore, 74, of Charleston died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996, at his home.
Moore was born Jan. 3, 1918, near East Prairie to Norman and Hattie McCoy Miller. He was a retired photographer for the University of Illinois at Champaign.
Survivors are three daughters, Almetta Moore Pearson, Dorothy Moore Bankhead and Ruth Moore Harrington, all of Davenport, Iowa; a brother, William Moore of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Aletha Miller of Sacramento; four stepsons, Lionel Morris of Chicago, Joe Shelby and Bobby Moore, both of Charleston, and Eddie Jackson of Davenport; four stepdaughters, Shirley Murray, Rose Graham, Barbara Moore and Delmarie Moore, all of Charleston; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral today at the Sparks Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1, with the Rev. T.R. Tyus officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
