Norman L. Colyott, 71, of Jackson died Friday, June 6 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1931, at Hunter, Mo., son of Charles and Della Hampton Colyott. He and Violet Lawrence were married Dec. 4, 1955, at St. Louis.
Colyott was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
He owned Norman's Radiator and Air Conditioning in Kennett and after moving to Jackson he co-owned and operated Norman's Radiator and Air Conditioning Repair Shop in Cape Girardeau since 1970. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson and served as an usher for many years.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael Colyott of Jackson, Miss., Bruce Colyott of Cape Girardeau, Steven Colyott of Jackson, Mo. and Kevin Colyott of San Antonio, Tex.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home, Jackson. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate, with burial in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery, Cape Girardeau. There will also be a military honor guard service.
