ZALMA -- Norma Jean Wells, 56, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

She was born Jan. 1, 1942, in Arab, daughter of Elmo and Lorene Stroup Lemons.

Wells was a professional quiltmaker. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Wells of Fulton; three daughters, Crystal Crockett of Oklahoma City, Beth McClain of Poplar Bluff, Kay Martin of Iowa; her mother of Arab; two brothers, B.H. Lemons of St. Louis, Ivan Lemons of Arab; four sisters, Alma Hanks of Advance, Brenda Webb of Iowa, Connie Caldwell of Puxico, Linda Lemons of Zalma; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, grandson, and her father.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
