JONESBORO, Ill. -- Norma Skiles, 83, died Monday, Jan. 29, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born in Union County, daughter of Charley C. and Ida J. Rhymer Miller. She and Ernest Skiles were married Oct. 15, 1932. He died May 5, 1971...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Norma Skiles, 83, died Monday, Jan. 29, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Union County, daughter of Charley C. and Ida J. Rhymer Miller. She and Ernest Skiles were married Oct. 15, 1932. He died May 5, 1971.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Skiles of St. John; a daughter, Shirley West of St. John; a brother, Charlie Miller of Anna; four sisters, Juanita Pickel of Jonesboro, Naoma Bittle of Anna, Alma Smith of Lincoln, Neb., and Betty Goodsel of McMinnville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a son and grandson.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 3-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McGinnis Cemetery.
