Norma Maxine Stone, 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, April 30, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 20, 1911, at Neelys Landing, to Loran and Addie McCormac Humes.

On Nov. 1, 1929, she married Willis Stone, at Benton. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1971.

Survivors include two sons, James Stone and John Stone, both of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Margaret Klein of New Madrid, Shirley Brown of the state of New Hampshire, Dorothy Essner of Scott City, and Rosemary Mercer of Tuscon, Ariz. One brother, LeRoy Humes of Jackson, and one sister, Dorothy Cotner of Jackson, also survive, along with 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 step grandchild.

Stone was a homemaker all her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., today, at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Monday, at 1 p.m., at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Rev. Don Slatton officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
