CHARLESTON -- Norma Lee Humphrey, 81, of Charleston died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 18, 1915, in Mississippi County to Jess and Dixie Baker Douglas.

She lived her entire life in Mississippi County and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Charleston.

On April 16, 1932, she married Edward "Jack" Humphrey, who died Sept. 1, 1982.

Survivors include one son, Edward Lee Humphrey of Charleston; one daughter, Sandra Gail McCameron of Charleston; one half-brother, Vernon Douglas of Charleston; five half-sisters, Opal Freeland of Charleston, Gladys Simmons of Matthews, Imogene Martin of St. Louis, Nettie Counter of Zalma, and Hettie Rogers of Lilbourn; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, one half-brother and one grandson.

Visitation is today prior to the 11-a.m. service at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Bill Meeks of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston and Bill Bradley of the Charleston Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
