Norma Jean Koehler, 76, of Millersville passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 3, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Leon and Ruth Ates Deimund. She married Ronald Koehler Feb. 11, 1966.
Norma attended school in Sedgewickville and Patton, Missouri. At the age of 16 she went to work for Florsheim Shoe Company in Jackson for 10 years. After her children were all in school, she started a 30-year career at Lee-Rowan Company in Jackson, retiring in 2007.
She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, along with taking care of her family.
Norma is survived by her husband and best friend of over 55 years, Ronald Koehler; two children, Donna (Kevin) Pulliam of Jackson and Dale Koehler of St. Charles, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, and Jacob Koehler, Nickey Powell II, Taylor Powell, Krystal and Hunter Koehler, Jacob Pulliam and Zoie Brophy; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Laura (Richard) Kaiser, Wanda Furniss and Dorothy (Harrison) Pry; and a brother, Larry Deimund.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wyatt Koehler; and a sister, Anna Lange.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Those attending are encouraged to wear a mask and, per Norma's request, dress casual.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
