Norma Holder

Norma J. Holder, 87, of Scott City died Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 13, 1935, in Kelso, Missouri, to Ben and Olivia Scherer LeDure. She married Herb Holder on Nov. 19, 1955, in Kelso. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2018.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. She enjoyed cooking, working with flowers and her yard, and painting outside.

She is survived by two sons, Ron and Randy Holder of Scott City; sister, Arvella Robert of Kelso; three grandchildren, Mitch (Lexie) Holder of Benton, Missouri, Jeff Holder of Scott City and Abby Holder of Chaffee, Missouri; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin and Journey.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Holder; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Scott City.
