SIKESTON -- Norma Elaine Bennett, 82, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1914, in Campbell, daughter of W.O. and Fannie Wright. SIKESTON -- Norma Elaine Bennett, 82, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 2, 1914, in Campbell, daughter of W.O. and Fannie Wright. She and Marion Ray Bennett were married Feb. 16, 1934.

Bennett had worked at JCPenney, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Bennett of Vandalia, Ill.; a daughter, Barbara Ware of Byhalia, Miss.; a sister, Jane Ellsworth of McAllen, Texas; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
