PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Norma J. Bauwens, 78, of Perryville died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 13, 1940, in Longtown, Missouri, to Andrew August and Ella Marie Leible Schnurbusch. She and Allan Bauwens were married Sept. 22, 1962. He preceded her in death Aug. 22, 1980.
Norma had worked at St. Vincent High School cafeteria, Moonier's Florist and as a Miraculous Medal tour guide. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Perryville Garden Club. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Vincent High School.
Survivors include her three daughters, Stacie (Adam) Sargent of Perryville, Shelly (Tim) Clifton of Perryville and Stefanie (Tim) Jerry of St. Louis; three sons, Jeff (Holly) Bauwens of Jackson, Jason (Christina) Bauwens of Sacramento, California, and Justin (Jill) Bauwens of Perryville; two brothers, Wayne (Kathy) Schnurbusch of Arnold, Missouri, and Willard (Carol) Schnurbusch of West Plains, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer and the Rev. Rickey Valleroy concelebrating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent Schools or Parish in lieu of flowers.
