Norma "Lee" Atchison, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully Monday, JuIy 9, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family.

Lee was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Red Rock, Okla. She graduated from Jackson High School in l949. She started at Proctor & Gamble in 1970 as a line technician and was later transferred to the finished product lab.

She founded the P&G Diaper Booth that so many people have enjoyed at the SEMO District Fair and other civic gatherings. She attended both Centenary United Methodist Church and First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Pat (Nancy) Godwin of Cape Gir­ardeau, Kim (Sally) Godwin of Charlotte, N.C.; and a daughter, Sherri (Larry) Stuart of Houston; three grandchildren, Courtney (Seth) Rider of Denver, Lance Cotner of Cape Girardeau, Miles Godwin of Charlotte; a brother, Mike (Leann) Bristow; and three nephews, Matt, Andy and Chris of Denver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorene and Pat Bristow.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Long of Centenary Church officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
