BENTON, Mo. -- Norbert Herman Elfrink, 84, of Benton died Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at the home of his daughter.
He was born Nov. 26, 1934, in Leopold, Missouri, to Leo and Minnie Nenninger Elfrink. He married Irene Agnes LeGrand on June 30, 1954, in Benton. She preceded him in death May 24, 2013.
Norbert was a carpenter and a janitor for Kelly High School. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by three daughters, Diane Perdue and Carla (Jim) Nall of Benton and Beverly (David) Rettig of Sikeston, Missouri; three brothers, Nick (Geraldine) Elfrink of Marble Hill, Missouri, Alvin (Faye) Elfrink of Missouri and Charles Elfrink of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Wilfawn, in 2004; a son, Vincent Elfrink, in 2011; and two brothers, Daniel Elfrink and Richard Elfrink.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
