Nora Lizzie Curry, 88, of Chula Vista, Calif., died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
She was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Burfordville to Nole Archie and Lizzie L. Hendrickson Jenkins. Nora was married to Carl James Curry on Nov. 26, 1939. He died Oct. 15, 1983.
She worked in retail sales for J.C. Penney Co. in Peoria, Ill., and National City, Calif. She later worked as a book keeper for Kmart in Chula Vista.
She is survived by two sons, Carl (Sherry) Curry of Ramona, Calif., and Gail (Arlene) Curry of Oak Ridge; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Harry and Marvin; two brothers, Edward and George; and one sister, Tilda.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug McClellan officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
