Nola Marie Nitsch, 90, 3120 Independence, died Friday, July 24, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born July 6, 1902, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Rudolph and Sarah Cathrine Bollinger Statler. She married Albert Joseph Nitsch in 1922 at Benton. He died April 25, 1954.
Nitsch owned and operated Hilltop Inn on Hopper Road from 1941-56. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Cathedral Ladies, and former member of Daughters of Isabella and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Jewell Moore of Cape Girardeau, Ella Gerecke of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Woodrow Statler of Pocahontas; two sisters, Janie Crites of Gordonville, Gracie Johnson of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild and great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 3-8 p.m. today.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
