Noel T. Russell, 85, of Cape Girardeau, died Jan. 26, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Aug. 15, 1909, in Swifton, Ark., son of George Thurman and Ollie Mae Chaney Russell. He married Elizabeth Brock on Nov. 30, 1929, in Blytheville, Ark..
Russell was a farmer and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Russell of Bombay, Fla., and Jack Russell of Cape Girardeau; eight daughters, Ethel L. Chambers, Ruth Wade and Christene R. Deeson of Hartford, Mich., Margie Howard of Bridgman, Mich., Mary Elmore of Mt. Holly, N.C., Carolyn Beauchamp of Dallas, Linda Baginske of St. Joseph, Mich., and Patsy Ann Russell of Cape Girardeau; one brother, G.T. Russell of Truman, Ark.; two sisters, Mary Ethridge of Kennett and Meldrine Moore of Piggott, Ark.; 43 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel with Faye Bumpas and Delbert Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
