DEXTER -- Nita V. Hazlip Smith, 77, of Dexter, died Wednesday, April 13, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 9, 1916, at Townly, daughter of Arthur D. and Fleata S. Anderson Walker. She and Lyman Cletus Hazlip were married Nov. 15, 1943, in Martinez, Calif. He died Aug. 20, 1977. She and James A. Smith were married in 1980. He died May 8, 1993.
Smith had lived in the area since 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Hazlip of Dexter, Leon Hazlip; two sisters, Vera Czarnicki of Chicago, and Melba Brown of Mt. Morris, Mich.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jerrold Lake officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
