Nita Fay Bagwell, 76, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Chaffee, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 6, 1942, in Swain, Arkansas, to the late James Corelis and Mildred Beatrice Baxter Lankford. She married William Richard Bagwell on Sept. 28, 1968, and he preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1998.
She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula (Tim) Simmers, Lisa Krieg and Rebecca Laxton, all of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Leona Lesch of Delta, Kathie Razer of Chaffee and Lela Jaco of Pensacola, Florida; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and nine sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Burgard officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
