NEW HAMBURG -- LeRoy "Nip" Klipfel, 59, of Topeka, Kan., died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, while at work at the Frito-Lay Co. in Topeka. He was born Feb. 9, 1940, at New Hamburg, son of Fidelis Martin and Catherine Josephine Heuring Klipfel. He and Rosemary Mayberry were married Feb. 8, 1964...

NEW HAMBURG -- LeRoy "Nip" Klipfel, 59, of Topeka, Kan., died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, while at work at the Frito-Lay Co. in Topeka.

He was born Feb. 9, 1940, at New Hamburg, son of Fidelis Martin and Catherine Josephine Heuring Klipfel. He and Rosemary Mayberry were married Feb. 8, 1964.

Klipfel was a machine operator at Frito-Lay. He served in the Army Reserve.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, LeRoy "Junior" and Brian Klipfel of Topeka; a daughter, Dee Webb of Topeka; a brother, Raymond Klipfel of Chaffee; two sisters, Doris Walter of Oran, Laverne Keusenkothen of Dexter; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
