DEXTER -- Funeral for Nina L. Burton of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Jerry Holland will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.

Burton, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 22, 1933, at Ozark, daughter of Oran and Sarah Meadows Carney. She and Pierce Burton Jr. were married Nov. 10, 1979, at Ozark.

Burton moved to Dexter in 1988 from Springfield. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Paul Burton of Salt Lake City, Utah, John Burton of Republic, Ken Burton of Tupelo, Miss.; three daughters, Kay Fitzgeral of Salt Lake City, Pam Davis of Galena, Terri Johnson of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
