Nigel Strop Moyers, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1930, at Indian Creek, daughter of Clarence and Opal Ackman Tripp. She married Ivan Strop Nov. 19, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He died June 12, 1960.

Mrs. Moyers grew up in Jackson, moving to Cape Girardeau in 1947. She worked at Davis Electric Co. 25 years, and was a cook 15 years with Metco Barge Lines, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda McNeely and husband Kenneth of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Justine Watson of Cape Girardeau, Nina Ross of Jackson; a brother, Donald Tripp of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Gregory McNeely of Cape Girardeau and Corey NcNeely of Jackson.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Porter officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
