Nicholas Ray “Nicky” Moore, 77, of Jackson passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, at his home.
He was born March 12, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Calvin E. and Pauline Kolb Moore. He and Deborah Ann Coker were married June 10, 1972, at First Baptist Church in McGhee, Arkansas. Deborah passed away Oct. 10, 2021.
Nicky was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1968. After returning home, Nicky enrolled in a technical school in Chicago and earned an electronics certification.
He and Deborah moved to Jackson in 1981, where he worked as an electronics technician for more than 30 years with Natural Gas Pipeline Co., which later became Kinder Morgan.
Nicky was a devout Christian and had become a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson shortly after moving to the community. He and Deborah loved to travel across the United States. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and construction, and he loved to tend his garden.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, at The Bridge, 326 S. High St., in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Nicholas Moore to First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Arrangements were entrusted to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
