CHARLESTON -- Nevis I. Bryant, 78, of Bertrand, formerly of Charleston, died Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.
She was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Charleston, daughter of George E. McFadden and Gertrude Smith McFadden.
She married Milas Bryant on Dec. 25, 1938. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1984.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Camille Smith of Little Rock, Ark.,; brothers, Kermit McFadden of San Leandaro, Calif.; and two sisters, Frances Saliba of Charleston and Phyllis Fox of Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, with the Rev. J.L. Laughlin, pastor of First Christian Church of Charleston officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F Cemetery.
